Two MoMA employees were stabbed by a man whose membership was revoked, police said.investigating
Police say the suspect came to the museum around 4:15 pm and stabbed two employees. They say the suspect was a member of the museum and had just received a letter revoking his membership the day before. The man jumped at his reception to watch a movie and attacked and stabbed his back, collarbone and neck.
Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, where they were in stable condition and expected to be okay.
Police say they know who the suspect is because they are looking for the suspect in connection with two previous cases in Midtown. Since he is a regular at the museum, museum employees also know the suspect. He was seen in a surveillance video escaping from the museum after the attack.

He is portrayed as a 60-year-old Caucasian man with a black jacket and a blue surgical mask. Under his jacket is a colorfully patterned shirt and hood.
Audiences at the museum inside said the scene inside was confused during the incident.

“I was looking at Picasso and Cezanne. Just enjoying the museum, suddenly they said” the museum was closed “and people started running,” said David Dureiko.
Durejko said there was a panic on the escalator.
“Then they started shouting,’Go out and go out for your own safety,'” he added.
Dee Daily was in the gift shop with his daughter when employees hurriedly took them to a safe room in the basement.
“It was a memory weakness. I was trying to stay calm for my daughter,” he said.
A tourist named Missy says he saw the horror spread as everyone was racing.
“It looked like a ribbon with the word’police’on it, and I think the woman lying alive on the floor saw blood spots on the wall,” she said. ..
Some people like Evelyn in Vienna who had Saturday tickets are counting their blessings they weren’t inside.
“I was shocked, it’s terrible,” she said, “I came to her by taxi to see the exhibition, but …”
