Two people killed in a collision at Tampa’s Campbell Causeway

Tampa, Florida-Courtney Campbell Causeway has been closed in both directions, and authorities are investigating an accident that killed two people, seriously injured a third, and injured a fourth, Tampa police said Wednesday morning.

According to police, the call for the crash was made after 3:40 am. Two vehicles were involved.

Police said two men had been sentenced to death at the scene. According to police, one man was taken to a hospital in serious condition and a woman was taken to a hospital with possible trauma.

Police said the Causeway would be closed with a boat ramp for commuters traveling from Tampa to Clearwater during the investigation. For commuters coming from Clearwater, it will be closed at the entrance to the bridge.
