Pentagon officials testified in front of a Pentagon subcommittee and did not disclose additional information from an ongoing investigation of hundreds of unexplained sky sightings. However, they said the government had selected a new task force director to coordinate data collection efforts on what was officially labeled as an “unidentified aerial phenomenon.”
Ronald Moultrie, Vice-Minister of Intelligence, said the Pentagon is also condemning the issue and encouraging pilots and other military personnel to report the anomalies they saw.
“We want to know what’s there as much as you want to know what’s there,” Mortley told Congressman, himself science fiction. He added that he was a fan of. “We receive questions as well as from you. We receive it from our families and we receive them day and night.”
Members of both parties have stated that UFOs are a national security concern. Witnesses of what appears to be an aircraft flying without identifiable propulsion have been reported near military bases and coastlines, and witnesses may have discovered undiscovered or secret Chinese or Russian technology. I have.
However, sightings are usually momentary. Some may only appear on the camera for a moment and then be distorted by the camera lens. The US Government is believed to hold additional technical information regarding sightings that have not been publicly disclosed.
An interim report released by intelligence authorities last year counted 144 sightings of aircraft or other equipment flying at apparently mysterious speeds or orbits. With the exception of one of the sightings investigated, there was too little information for investigators to roughly characterize the nature of the case.
The Pentagon’s top executives briefly presented the challenge on Tuesday. Scott Bray, Deputy Director of Navy Intelligence, stood next to the television and showed a short video taken from an F-18 military aircraft. The video shows a blue sky with passing clouds. There is an image of a balloon in one frame, which took a few minutes for the room staff to line up.
“As you can see, finding a UAP is harder than you might think,” Bray said using the acronym “Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.”
Indiana Democratic Party Rep. Andre Carson, who chaired the hearing, called on investigators to show that they were “willing to follow the facts they led.”
Arkansas Republican Rep. Rick Crawford said the investigation was “not about finding alien spacecraft, but about providing dominant information.”
“Incomprehension of objects in our sensitive operating area is equivalent to the intelligence failure we definitely want to avoid,” he said.
