Unlicensed Freshwater Fishing in Florida April 3rd, 4th

Tallahassee, Florida (WTXL) — One of Florida’s annual unlicensed freshwater fishing weekends begins on Saturday.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, on Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4, Florida people can go freshwater fishing without a fishing license.

The FWC offers many unlicensed fishing days each year. Weekend users should follow what is here, such as bags and size restrictions. There is also a new Florida fishing rules app available by clicking here.

Licenses and permits are available online at GoOutdoorsFlorida.com, directly at the licensed agency or tax collector’s office, or by calling the toll-free number 888-FISH-FLORIDA (888-347-4356).

Now is the time to go out into the water and even better to introduce fishing to someone you know. All you need is a rod and a reel!
