3-year-old kills brother with golf cart

Buckingham, Fla. (WJW) – A 7-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a golf cart driven by his 3-year-old brother.

according to Florida Highway PatrolA 3-year-old was operating a golf cart on a property in southwest Florida when it approached a right turn near his home.

Tragically, the cart crashed into a 7-year-old boy who was standing in the front yard. The boy was seriously injured by the impact and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

WINK News reported Lawyers questioned whether any charges would be filed in the case.

Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident. They are trying to figure out whether the older brother was in the golf cart and how the 3-year-old was able to operate it.

Investigators will assess whether the charges are justified as part of the ongoing investigation.
