Black dads play an integral role in our community and nothing is more heartwarming than watching them share special moments with their children. Not only do black dads work hard to support their families, they are also tasked with fighting the stigma of black dads who are absent from their children’s lives.
Sean Williams is one of those dads, and after praising a white woman in the neighborhood for being present in her daughter’s life, he is working hard to dispel negative thoughts. Shortly after that day, Sean founded “The Dad Gang.” This is an organization that shares the content of black dads we want to see and promises to create a safe space for black dads to connect with their children and each other.
“It’s really important for a black dad to have a safe place,” Sean told us. “Being a dad is a very fragile and personal experience, so being able to experience the same thing and share space with men who have the same experience allowed us to relax our vigilance. “
In addition to being an active dad for children, Sean is responsible for the active support system for thousands of black dads around the world. To do that, The Dad Gang is implementing several dope initiatives to celebrate his father beyond his day-to-day responsibilities as a father.
TDG’s first and first “Very Special Awards” honor fathers who use content to change how black fathers look in society. This is part of the modern father that is important to understand that a black father is really the worst part.
“Modern paternity looks like hell dope,” Sean said. “It’s a shame that I was glad to see you stuck to be an active dad. The problem was that she turned my hat back and looked at me with Jordan and the chain on. That was. Active dad is not. What she saw. But in reality, paternity looks different to everyone. We are very diverse. “
Dad Gang was founded in 2016 and since then Sean has launched a non-profit organization called the “Random Acts of Dadness”. It is dedicated to helping a black father in need. Sean has partnered with Wal-Mart to donate $ 50,000 to a troubled father affected by COVID.
