Cape Coral Police and Firefighters Rescue Dog from Canal

Thanks to the Cape Coral Police and Fire Department, the dog was safely returned to dry land.
Police in Cape Coral spotted a dog treading water near the 1000 block on Dolphin Drive on Sunday and took immediate action.
Police believe the dog had been playing in the water for hours before it arrived.
Police officers and firefighters used ropes and poles with loop wires at the ends to help grab the dogs and lift them onto land.
The dog was turned over to Lee County Livestock Services, according to Cape Police.
