WWE’s renowned event, Money in the Bank (MITB), is set to unfold in Ontario on Saturday, July 6, marking its debut in Canada. Known for its iconic briefcase matches, MITB allows winners to challenge any champion at any time by cashing in their briefcase. The inaugural briefcase ladder match took place at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, and since then, 30 superstars have held the briefcase as of July 5, 2024.
The 15th edition of WWE MITB will feature 12 superstars vying for the briefcase this weekend. The men’s match includes Jey Uso, Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, Chad Gable, LA Knight, and Drew McIntyre. Meanwhile, the women’s match features Iyo Sky, Chelsea Green, Lyra Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Zoey Stark.
Additionally, the event will showcase championship matches: Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn faces Bron Breakker, and LA Knight defends his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. A victory for Rollins would force Knight out of the Judgment Day faction permanently.
Later in the evening, Universal Champion Cody Rhodes teams up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to battle The Bloodline in a six-man tag-team match.
