Zach Wilson, Jets reach agreement on contract after rookie quarterback misses start camp, sources say

Florham Park, NJ – Zach Wilson joins the Jets at a training camp.

League sources confirmed that Jets and his rookie quarterback finally reached an agreement Thursday afternoon. Wilson, second in the draft, missed the first two days of the camp as his deal was still under negotiation.

Wilson signs a four-year contract for $ 35.1 million and pays a $ 22.9 million contract. His newcomer’s salary was put into slots, but the holdup was due to his bonus offset language and deferred payments. Both sides compromised. Wilson’s contract will not be postponed, but the contract will have a set-off clause.

He was just the first round pick from this unsigned draft class.

Jets has opened a training camp where Mike White and James Morgan are in charge of quarterback missions.
