Students at Indialantic’s Hoover Middle School were evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat was made, police said.

The school was evacuated at around 12:54 pm on Wednesday as police conducted a preventive mopping up at the scene, according to a Facebook post by the Indianapolis Police.

The school was demolished around 1:30 p.m., according to Brevard Public Schools spokesman Russ Blue.

Classes were set to resume as normal for the rest of the day.

Bruhn was unsure how the threat was received but believed law enforcement was investigating.
