You get a rearview camera, and an excellent 8-inch infotainment screen as standard. You can get other good stuff such as ventilated seats, an 8-18 speaker system, satellite navigation, wireless charging, etc.
There are many more safety features as well; both standard and optional. These include auto emergency braking, combined with collision warning alerts and other stability controls. You get parking sensors and airbags.
There are assistance systems for lanes, evasive steering, parking and intersections available. You already get a rear camera, which you can further upgrade for a complete 360-degree surround-view system.
Exterior and Driving
The exterior of the F-150 has also received changes, despite looking like the old model. It is still a large truck with a commanding presence. You will get to customize it using a mix of grilles and wheel patterns.
The Ford F150 is a very quick truck to drive. You’ll find that its handling is excellent and that its steering response is quick. There’s no form of body rolling experienced. The truck feels very light to drive despite its large size.
Even off the road, it won’t disappoint on the trail. This is true for all of its variants and both of the drivetrains. For a better oomph, you can equip your F-150 with an offroading package, or better yet; pick a Ford Raptor.
Price and Warranty
The F150 is priced quite well, as far as the base model is concerned. You get a lot of truck for the starting price of 27 thousand dollars. If you truly want to enjoy all the tech, then you could even end up going into the 75 grand range.
For the coverage, you will be taken care of for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of driving out of the showroom. The powertrain warranty is separate, and it will cover you for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever is achieved first.
The diesel engine will get you a different warranty. You shall receive coverage for a maximum of 5 years, or 100k miles. Unfortunately, there’s no complimentary maintenance included anywhere above.
The hybrid and EV versions will give out their own warranties for the batteries involved. For the reliable car parts supply, visit: https://sts-global.com/car-parts
Verdict
With that, we come to the end of the 2022 Ford F-150 review. Ford have certainly put themselves in contention to the almighty Ram 1500. The F-150 has it all from performance to luxury to affordability.
The truck looks great both inside and out, and it has a good fuel economy. It does well on both tarmac and on the trail. You get a great choice of equipment for both the cabin, and for safety plus driver’s assistance.
It’s hard to pick out the cons here, as only the higher price tag of the high-end models may be considered. This is because those models feature the best tech that the truck has to offer.
