Spooktacular at Jacksonville Zoo: Jacksonville’s most awaited Halloween event, Spooktacular, is returning for its 36th year. Presented by Vystar Credit Union, Spooktacular runs from October 13-15, 19-22, 26-31, from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm with an early preview for members on October 12, 2023. This bewitching celebration offers more ghastly delights and eerie entertainment than ever before. Beaches Oktoberfest: Get ready for music, food, vendors, art, and beer!🍻 Beaches Oktoberfest, Florida’s largest Oktoberfest, returns on Oct. 6 and 7 at the SeaWalk Pavilion. 19th Annual Halloween Doors & More: On Saturday, Oct. 14, The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care will transform the Jacksonville Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall into a magical, candy land-themed day of family-friendly fun and entertainment for the 19th annual Halloween Doors & More. Northeast Florida’s premier Halloween event since 2005, Halloween Doors & More, will begin at 2 p.m. for fun attractions with candy, toys, food, interactive experiences, and live characters. Highlands Baptist Church: The pumpkin patch at 2159 Broward Road in Jacksonville is opening Oct. 16 and will run through Oct. 31. It will be open from 12-7 p.m. Sunday-Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturdays. All purchases support the church’s youth and children’s ministries. There will also be a photo booth, and the church is hosting its Fall Festival from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 29 with a bounce house, games, prizes, dinner and plenty of candy.

Spring Glen Methodist Church: The church pumpkin patch opens on Monday, Oct. 16. The hours are Mon-Friday 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Saturday’s 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday’s 12-7 p.m. Address: 6007 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, fl 32216

Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church: Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Normandy Blvd is hosting its fourth annual Pumpkin Patch Festival. The event will offer horse and pony rides on the last two weekends in October, a food court, picture-taking stations, funnel cakes, face painting, balloon animals, and “Trunk-or-Treat” on Sun. ‘Fire eating’ at Norikase: Norikase, which is a restaurant on Deer Lake Court, will be offering live “fire-eating” starting this Friday. The professional “fire eaters” will be on hand each Friday for the month of October. Norikase is having its grand opening this Friday.
