4-foot alligator captured in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park
Prospect Park, Brooklyn (WABC) — An alligator was caught in Brooklyn on Sunday.
A member of the Prospect Park maintenance staff spotted an alligator in the lake.
Patrol members and park rangers then caught the 4-foot-long reptile.
The park service said the alligator was lethargic, probably because of the cold weather. It was also in bad shape.
The police are trying to find the culprit who dumped the crocodile.
It is illegal to release animals in New York City parks.
