Barron Trump Set to Enter Political Arena as Florida Delegate for Republican Convention

Barron Trump, the youngest child of former President Donald Trump, is poised to make his debut in the political arena. Graduating from high school next week, Barron has largely remained out of the public eye, but he’s now been selected by the Republican Party of Florida as one of the state’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention.

Florida GOP chairman Evan Power expressed enthusiasm about the diverse composition of the delegation, which includes grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family. Barron’s role as a delegate marks his most prominent political involvement to date.

Unlike his older siblings, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., who are also Florida at-large RNC delegates, along with Trump’s daughter Tiffany, Barron has led a more private life. However, he briefly made headlines last month when his father’s New York criminal trial coincided with Barron’s high school graduation, prompting a request for a break from trial proceedings, which was granted by the judge.

While the Trump family will have a significant presence in Florida’s RNC delegation, including Eric Trump serving as the delegation’s chairman, the state GOP has largely aligned itself with Donald Trump’s presidential aspirations, even as Governor Ron DeSantis enters the GOP presidential nomination race.

Notable figures among the Florida GOP-approved RNC at-large delegates include Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée; Michael Boulous, Tiffany Trump’s husband; former state Attorney General Pam Bondi; longtime Trump adviser Sergio Gor; former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter; and various state-level Republican politicians who have endorsed Trump over DeSantis.
