(WTXL) — Power outages occurred in Big Bend, Florida, and several southern Georgia counties Friday afternoon after a series of severe storms passed through the region.
Some customers in Jefferson and Madison counties are without power, according to the Tri-County Electric co-op.
Duke Energy estimates that just under 130 customers in Jefferson County are without power.
Talquin Electric Co-op, which serves parts of Leon County, said more than 2,700 customers in the eastern part of the county were without power.
The City of Tallahassee estimates that more than 1,800 customers were without power as of 4:24 p.m. Friday.
In Grady County, Grady EMC reports that 21 customers are without power, while in Thomasville, 43 customers are without power.
In Mitchell County, Mitchell EMC notes that 161 customers are without power. Colquitt Electric Membership reports that some customers in Brooks and Lownes counties are experiencing power outages.
