New York (WABC) — The Brooklyn Nets have suspended Kyrie Irving for at least five games without pay. I was disappointed that I had failed to “state clearly that he had no anti-Semitic beliefs”.
Hours after Irving refused to apologize after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver asked him to post links to anti-Semitic material in his Twitter feed, the Nets announced that Irving was “currently in Brooklyn.” “He is not fit to be associated with the Nets.”
“Today, when given the opportunity at a media session, Kyrie’s refusal to explicitly state that she has no anti-Semitic beliefs or acknowledge certain hateful content in the film. “To clarify, we are disappointed. It wasn’t the first time he had the opportunity, but he failed. To clarify,” the Nets said in a statement.
“The failure to disavow anti-Semitism when given the clear opportunity to do so is highly alarming, contrary to our organizational values, and harmful to our team. constitutes a good act. Brooklyn Nets.”
