Child critically injured in Bronx school bus crash

Co-op City, The Bronx (WABC) — A child is critically ill after a school bus crash in the Bronx.

Just before 3:30 p.m. Monday, a bus and Jeep collided just outside Cope City’s Hutchinson River Parkway.

The jeep’s male driver and female passenger were taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition.

The bus was carrying the driver and four children accompanying him. One child is seriously injured. The other children are believed to be safe.

No word yet on the cause of the accident.
