Crime in New York City: Two NYPD officers injured after car crashes into another in Bronx

Bronx, NY (WABC) — Two police officers and one were injured when a New York Police Department vehicle collided with another vehicle in the Bronx on Monday, police said.
The accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. on East 149th Street and Brook Avenue in the Motthaven neighborhood.
At the time of the incident, officers were responding to 911 calls for NYPD officers in need of help in nearby locations.
Eyewitness News obtained multiple surveillance videos showing a police car driving backwards down Brook Street and impacting a white Jeep Cherokee as it attempted to cross an intersection.
The Jeep suffered damage to the passenger side and front tires, leaving the patrol car wrecked.
Both officers, assigned to the 40th Precinct, were taken to Lincoln Hospital with minor injuries.
The Jeep driver was taken to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
This incident is under investigation.
