Disabled Flag Football League formed in Tallahassee
Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) — A legally blind man works to start a flag football league that caters to people with disabilities. David Bailey loves sports and soccer. He made a similar league at Daytona and now wants to do the same for Tallahassee.
He hopes that by starting this league, it will provide a space for people with disabilities to build friendships and feel comfortable. We want you to feel like you are here.
“I know I can put on the Florida jersey and feel like a Florida player for a while and lose myself from reality. That’s all there is to it,” Bailey said. If there’s something you want to do, I want everyone to come out by taking a break from life for a while.”
If you would like to join the league or make a donation to help with the cost of supplies, you can contact us David Bailey on FacebookHe hopes to have the league up and running by February 4th.
