Disabled plane causes delay, reroute flight with RSW
Lee County
Two flat tires on the plane will confuse passengers trying to get to Southwest Florida International Airport on Tuesday.
The Lee County Port Authority says a United Airlines flight from Newark, N.J., got stuck on the runway after a tire went flat after landing. They say passengers from the plane were bussed to the terminal.
However, it wasn’t just the people on that plane. Flights that attempted to land at RSW were diverted to other airports in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
RSW is working to remove planes from the runway so that normal operations can resume at the airport.
