WASHINGTON (AP) – Airports in the Washington, D.C. area resumed normal operations about an hour after being shut down Sunday night due to a problem with a major air traffic control facility, the Federal Aviation Administration said. .
The FAA announced on Twitter that operations at Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport have resumed after repairs were made to communications systems at the Radar Approach Control Facility at the Potomac Terminal.
Departure flights from National and Dulles International Airports were subject to a ground stop during the restoration work, the FAA said.
