Heat beat Celtics 128-102 to take 3-0 lead at ECF
Miami – The Miami Heat are one win away from advancing to the 2023 NBA Finals.
The Heat beat the Boston Celtics 128-102 on Sunday to take a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat held a 61-46 lead going into halftime and continued to build momentum in the second half.
Heat guard Gabe Vincent led the team with a playoff career-high 29 points on 11-of-14 floor shooting.
Caleb Martin scored 18 points in the game. He’s now scored at least 10 points in three consecutive playoff games.
The Heat were 13-0 when they were leading 20 points at any point in the game. Miami extended their lead to 23 points with Vincent’s 3-pointer with nine minutes remaining in the third quarter.
After taking a 93-63 lead heading into the fourth quarter, Miami continued to rely on 3-point shooting.
Boston outscored Miami 57-35 in rebounding, but the Heat’s sharpshooters continued to make the difference even after the team shot 54% (19-35) beyond the arc.
The Heat will seek a spot in the NBA Finals with a landslide home win over the Celtics on Tuesday.
