Fort Myers Beach
Fort Myers Beach’s beachfront is another transformation. The owner of Fresh Catch Bistro and Junkanoo says he will take over another property after living in Fort Myers Beach for more than 30 years.
Junkanoo and Fresh Catch Bistro now have a fresh spot to call home.
Franco Russo, owner of Junkanoo and Fresh Catch Bistro, said:
Storms have washed away their homes over the last 30 years. Russo said rebuilding there was not an option. “First, we started on the beach and looked out of the island. and here we are.
Russo’s business takes over the old Bayfront Bistro location.
“Downstairs, the ground floor will be Junkanoo. There’s a bar there, this outdoor seating. I will,” said Russo.
The fun doesn’t stay above ground. “Then the second level just above will be the fresh catch area. We changed the branding a bit and called it the Junkanoo Below Deck because it literally sits below the Fresh Catch deck.”
Russo said the Junkanoo Below Deck could open on Friday, but made no promises. “One thing at a time.”
WINK News found out Trading Cottages and Shackers, worth about $16 million and failed. The property is back on the market.
