Man charged in Westside murders arrested in Tampa
jacksonville, florida – A man was arrested in Tampa and charged in connection with a shooting in Jacksonville last month.
Henry Cotton, 31, was arrested on July 1 and charged with second-degree murder, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The day before Mr. Cotton’s arrest, the JSO responded: Mass shooting at 9400 block on 103rd Street. Officers found the shot man, who later died at a local hospital.
Cotton was arrested after conducting a brief investigation with the help of the U.S. Marshals and Tampa police.
Cotton is also charged with gun possession and auto theft by a convicted felon.
After his arrest, Cotton was taken back to Jacksonville and is currently being held without bail at the Duval County Pretrial Detention Center.
