Massive police presences were reported at multiple Target stores in Jacksonville.unclear why
jacksonville, florida – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department responded to at least three Jacksonville Target stores on Thursday night, according to multiple calls and emails received by News4JAX.
Around 8 p.m., a total of 10 people reported seeing multiple officers at Target stores in the area, including the Regency, Fleming Island, Mandarin, Beach Boulevard and Oak Leaf stores, by phone or email.
News4JAX went to the store on Beach Blvd. Hodges Boulevard and the parking lot were closed as of 8:30 p.m., and surrounding shops were also closed.
Viewers said shopping centers around the store were closed and people were evacuated.
It was unclear why the JSO was at the store at 8:30 p.m., and calls to the JSO did not return immediately.
