Miami Zoo recognizes MDFR by presenting a flag at Station 43
Miami-Dade County, Florida – The Miami Zoo visited Miami-Dade Fire Department 43 on Saturday to pay tribute to their excellent service.
According to Ron McGill, director of communications at the Miami Zoo, it’s “the first deadline at the zoo” and a first responder to emergencies of all kinds, acknowledging that it provides enrichment for the zoo’s animals. A flag was presented to the firefighters.
“With fires, hurricanes, trauma, heat stroke, and even animal injuries, MDFR has always been there,” says Magill. “It’s an irreplaceable partnership.”
McGill says one million guests visit the Miami Zoo each year, and they’ve been partnering with MDFR for decades.
“I can’t say enough about the value you can bring to these kinds of relationships,” says Magill. “For us it is a great pleasure to recognize them and realize how much we appreciate them.”
