Mother killed by SUV in front of her children, Texas police say
A mother was killed by an SUV while walking with her family near Houston, Texas, investigators said.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that the family was walking near Rankin Road in northern Harris County just before midnight on Friday, December 9 when a speeding vehicle passed them.
The woman, whose identity and children have not been named by McClatchy News to protect her identity and children, walked further onto the road and began yelling at the speeding car, her husband told a representative.
She reportedly didn’t see the Porsche Cayenne running towards them, but her husband did.
He pushed his children out of the SUV’s path but didn’t have time to pull his wife to safety before they crashed, the report said.
The Porsche driver stopped immediately, called 911, performed CPR on the woman, and waited for help, reports said.
She was taken to hospital for treatment, but died from her injuries.
Reports say the driver showed no signs of intoxication and is cooperating with the investigation.
Investigation is ongoing.
