Raleigh, North Carolina — A suspect has been arrested after a shooting incident in which at least four people were injured, North Carolina officials say.
The city of Knightdale said in a tweet Thursday night that a suspect had been arrested after a shooting near neighboring Raleigh.
The shooting prompted a large number of police to rush to the scene.

Multiple people were injured Thursday night in what authorities described as “vigorous shootings” in a residential neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Governor Roy Cooper tweeted.
The Raleigh Police Department said in a statement on Twitter that they were “at the scene of the shooting” and advised residents in multiple areas to stay inside their homes.
Police blocked several streets in the area, and numerous law enforcement vehicles were seen parked both on the street and in the driveway of the two-story home. The neighborhood borders the News River Greenway Trail and is approximately 9 miles (14 kilometers) northeast of downtown Raleigh.
At least three people involved in the shooting were being treated at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh on Thursday night, but no other information was immediately available, said hospital spokesperson Debra Lowry.
A police spokesperson did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.
