Product recall for children’s sippy cups due to risk of lead poisoning
Both sippy cups and children’s clothing are subject to a new recall due to the risk of lead poisoning.
Three Green Sprouts products (Stainless Steel Straw Bottle, Sippy Cup, and Sip & Straw Cup) have been recalled due to structural defects that may lead to lead poisoning.
Bentex is also recalling 87,000 sets of Disney-themed children’s clothing, from legging sets to bike shorts, for lead in textile inks.
Green Sprouts issued a recall on November 23, noting that the bottom base could be damaged by “exposed lead-containing solder dots,” according to the company’s description. Consumer Product Safety Commission Recall Notice.
