San Marco business owners and customers are nervous after being stabbed severely
San Marco, Florida – Under investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department Violent robbery at San Marco’s Fore Score Golf TavernOn Sunday night, someone broke into the store and stabbed an employee.

Carr says the incident prompted an immediate reassessment of how his store was run. “I’m looking at doing more online than I normally do, maybe walking less or less,” Carr said.
News4JAX asked San Marco shoppers if they would mind. “Of course it is.
Sherry frequents the San Marco area for lunch. She says this sort of thing doesn’t usually happen here.
News4JAX turned to JSO crime mapping tools. From July to December, 86 crimes were committed in his half-mile (0.5-mile) area around Fore Score.
The top three were theft, car break-ins and assault. But Carr and his other business owners, News4JAX, told off-camera coverage that they hoped the latest incident wouldn’t stop shoppers from coming to the store and supporting local businesses.
“I want you to come to San Marco,” Carr said. “We don’t want to discourage people, but I think everyone needs to pay more attention to their surroundings.”
News4JAX has reached out to Fore Score’s owners to see if they would be willing to talk about what happened. They declined, saying they are focused on employees at this time.
