Three dead, one injured in three separate clashes around Jacksonville

The crash occurred within 3 hours.

The first crash was just before 2am

The Florida Highway Patrol said a man driving an SUV heading south on the Buckman Bridge ran into the back of a man riding an electric scooter heading in the same direction. , was killed by being thrown from a scooter. FHP said he was not wearing a helmet.

Another person driving a semi-truck ran over debris from the crash, rendering the vehicle unusable, according to the FHP. No one else was hurt.

The second crash occurred at 3 a.m. in the Woodstock neighborhood of Macduff Avenue near Commonwealth Avenue, Peck said.

The JSO said a man driving an SUV was traveling in the opposite direction and drifted into its lane. He crashed head-on into the cicada, was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

Peck said it was too early to tell whether the truck driver would be prosecuted.

According to FHP, two men from Jacksonville were on Southside Blvd riding a JTB ramp.

The man driving the car ran over his left shoulder, flew off the road, and crashed into a tree.

The man in the front seat died on the spot.

The driver was taken to a hospital and his injuries are not life-threatening.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating two incidents. The incident on Macduff Avenue is being investigated by the JSO.

According to the JSO, McDuff’s crash marks the 165th fatal road accident the agency has worked on so far this year.
