Display advertising. We serve third-party display ads, including through Google AdSense. These advertisers have no access to, or influence over, our editorial content. Ad selection is automated and based on the systems described in our Privacy Policy.
Sponsored content. Some articles are paid for by a commercial partner. Every such article carries a visible Sponsored or Partner Content label above the headline, is filed under our Sponsored category, and its commercial outbound links are tagged rel="sponsored". Sponsors may suggest topics; they do not control our newsroom’s independent coverage of their industry.
Affiliate links. Some articles contain links that earn us a commission if you make a purchase. This never costs you more and never determines whether we recommend a product.
What we don’t do. We do not accept payment to publish unlabelled editorial, to remove or suppress a story, or to guarantee positive coverage of any person or company.
