Corrections Policy

We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it in the open.

How to report an error. Email floridanewstimes@gmail.com with the article URL, the specific passage you believe is incorrect, and any supporting information. You can also use our contact form.

How we respond. An editor reviews every report. If the error is factual, we correct the article and add a dated correction note at the foot of the piece explaining what changed. We do not quietly edit an article to remove a mistake.

  • Correction — a factual error has been fixed.
  • Clarification — the original was accurate but open to misreading, and has been made clearer.
  • Update — new information has been added to a developing story.

Removal requests. We do not remove published articles on request except where required by law or where publication caused a demonstrable, serious harm that a correction cannot address. Requests go to floridanewstimes@gmail.com and are decided by an editor.

Timeframe. Most corrections are made within one business day of verification.
